The 10-year anniversary of Rising Tide is upon us this week! Isn’t that amazing – 10 years! So many actions, materials, trainings, reports, films, support for numerous other groups around the world and a growing international network… not to mention just a few meetings ;)
So what are we doing to mark the occasion? Different RT groups around the UK are doing different things. In London, we did wonder about a big benefit gig but to tell the truth we are too busy planning actions for the coming months so we’ve decided to opt for a night in the pub (a favourite of ours) … with Rising Tide and friends… faces new and old. We would love it if you could come along for a pint or two to celebrate (though there is talk of one pint for each year!).

WHERE (and Why) – Cittie of York Pub, 22 High Holborn, London, WC1V 6BS
It’s a Sam Smith’s pub, which are independent, cheap, traditional (still using wooden casks rather than aluminium) and sell organic and vegan beers. Plus Sam Smiths have been the venue for many a post-LRT-action pint.
We really hope you can come along and raise a glass to the next 10 years.
