CLIMATE PROTEST IN TURKEY

NOAHÀS ARK AGAINST GLOBAL CAPITALISM!

On the 20th of July, Social Ecologist Transformation made an action in Istanbul, in solidarity with the Climate Summit in Bonn. The action was in Istiklal Street, in one of the main and crowded squares of Istanbul. The other groups in Anarchist Platform, Anarchist Youth Federation and the Masterless.

The Rising Tide climate change tour travelled around the UK, visiting 11 places and spreading information on climate change, inspiring action, and instilling hope that things really can get better, not just wetter.

Is it safe to come out then? Is it really all over? No, I don't just mean the election. I mean the long winter of heavy skies - the end of March this year marking the wettest 12 months in the UK since records began in the mid- eighteenth century - and the seemingly non-existent spring.

WORLD BANK PROJECTS FUND CLIMATE CHANGE
Since 1992 the World Bank has poured $20 billion into 300 dirty fossil fuel energy projects that over their lifetime will produce an incredible 40 billion tons of Carbon Dioxide- as much as the ENTIRE WORLD EMISSIONS FOR TWO YEARS.
