WHY CAN’T WE GIVE UP FOSSIL FUELS?- ASK A SMOKER!
George Marshall- August 2001
1. Climate change is a direct result of our addiction to fossil fuels. We cannot imagine life without fossil fuels. If our supply is cut off we "brown out" or even "black out"
2. We suspend all moral standards to get a fix. We are prepared to carve up conservation areas, overrule all basic human rights, and even carpet bomb countries to maintain the flow of fuel.

Is it safe to come out then? Is it really all over? No, I don't just mean the election. I mean the long winter of heavy skies - the end of March this year marking the wettest 12 months in the UK since records began in the mid- eighteenth century - and the seemingly non-existent spring.
|WORLD BANK PROJECTS FUND CLIMATE CHANGE
Since 1992 the World Bank has poured $20 billion into 300 dirty fossil fuel energy projects that over their lifetime will produce an incredible 40 billion tons of Carbon Dioxide- as much as the ENTIRE WORLD EMISSIONS FOR TWO YEARS.
